Every project germinates from a single thought. That further develops into a vision. At Regency Antilia (Mumbai), that vision was present. It was there but not yet crystal clear. The architects wanted the output to be something extraordinary for their ceilings of the balcony. To put the request into words: We want something never seen before.
For us at PARÉ, every project is an opportunity. To prove what we stand for and why we are a trusted name in the industry. Other than this, it was also an opportunity to redefine how people look at ceiling designs and to push the boundaries of what a ceiling panel design can achieve.
The challenge
Every project has its own set of challenges. Overcoming it creatively without compromising on the function is what separates the best from the rest. Balcony spaces often play a dual role in commercial and residential projects. They connect the indoors with the outdoors. This transition zone should be functional yet aesthetically appealing. The ceiling in such spaces, however, is often overlooked. The architects at Regency Antilia refused to settle for the ordinary. They wanted a ceiling solution that would not only look stunning but also enhance the overall design language of the building.
This challenge excited our team. We knew that to deliver something truly unique, we had to think beyond the conventional.
The Beginning of Innovation
The first step was experimentation. We created a mock-up using two of our finest offerings:
- Soffit Panels
- Unic Panels (Dual Tone Variant)
At first glance, the pairing might seem unconventional. Yet, the combination proved to be a masterstroke. The dual tones of the Unic Panels added depth and visual intrigue, while the Soffit Panels brought in structure and a sense of balance. Together, they gave the ceiling a seamless finish that was eye-catching and elegant.
A mockup up turns into a masterpiece
The mock-up became a center of discussion. The developers liked it. They were not only impressed but also convinced. What started as a single experiment for a balcony turned into a blueprint for the entire project.
This design was then extended across the whole 35,000-square-foot project. This was a big canvas that showed the impact and full potential of our products. We put the same attention to detail in the entire project, along with the seamless finish.
The final result was no less than a masterpiece. It not only looked elegant but also told a story, that of innovation and the courage to step aside from the ordinary and pursue the extraordinary.
